Powell Reed Abbott.1

Description

The Powell land comprises about 33 acres and is contiguous with the 1.47 acre Reed land and the 10 acre Abbot land. Together, these lands stretch from East Bare Hill Road to Bolton Road, and from here they give access to the extensive trail network of Bowers Springs. A trail around the perimeter of the orchard makes for a pleasant walk. There’s also a trail into the mostly white-pine forest, which emerges into a field that contains the remains of a small fir-tree planting. Two small loops are offshoots of this trail. Upon reaching the intersection of East Bare Hill Road and Brown Road, a 1/4-mile walk down East Bare Hill Road takes you to the East Bare Conservation Area for access to much longer trails.
