Donate: Other Ways to Give
There are many options available that make it easy for you to further land conservation efforts here in Harvard. In addition to contributing land, donating cash, or establishing a Conservation Restriction, here are some other ways to give. Stock and Real Estate Gifts
By donating appreciated assets, you will make a lasting contribution while receiving tax benefits such as charitable income tax deductions and capital gain tax savings. If you are interested in giving securities you may contact our broker, [name], directly at [phone]. Distributions from Retirement Plans
Because the HCT is a 501(c)(3) organization, required minimum distributions (RMDs) from an IRA, 401(k) or other retirement plan can be tax free if gifted directly to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This distribution is known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), another format for making QCD can usually be found on the website of your retirement plan administrator. Donor Advised Funds
You can also choose to support the Harvard Conservation Trust through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) which is a type of giving program through a centralized charitable account that allows individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations.
