Guided New Moon Nordic Night Hike
DUE TO FREEZING RAIN EXPECTED ON FRIDAY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO SATURDAY EVENING.
Step into the dark for a magical Nordic-themed New Moon Hike to Barba’s Point on Bare Hill Pond, February 21 at 7:00 p.m.
We’ll walk by candlelight through the forest to the pond on one of winter’s darkest nights, where you’ll enjoy stargazing and learn about ancient constellations used by Viking seafarers—along with the myths behind them.
The evening features live Nordic drumming by The Hooves of Sleipnir.
After the hike, warm up by a fire pit with drumming, toasted marshmallows, treats, and hot beverages at the water’s edge.
This family-friendly event is open to all.
