Farwell Quarry walk – June 27, 2026

Join HCT’s grant writer, Kerry Maxwell, on a walk through Pin Hill, crossing into the newly acquired and protected, Farwell Quarry. Learn about the land’s unique natural characteristics and history, both geological and as a once working quarry.
After the walk, we will enjoy some light refreshments and beverages.
Key Details:
- When: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
- Where: Meet at the trailhead of Pin Hill Conservation Land, near 42 Depot Rd, across from the transfer station.
- Parking: If there is no room at the turn out area by the trailhead, park in the soccer field lot, 55 Depot Rd.
- What to wear: Dress appropriately for the weather. Sturdy footwear or good walking shoes will work, and apply bug spray.
