2022 HCT’s Annual Meeting

The Harvard Conservation Trust is pleased to announce…
Uli Lorimer, Director of Horticulture at the Native Plant Trust, is the keynote speaker for the Annual Meeting on
November 16, 2022

Uli’s influence as a native plant and biodiversity expert has spanned years of work before the Native Plant Trust at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Native Flora Garden, the woodland garden at Wave Hill in the Bronx and prior to that at the U.S. National Arboretum.

During this special event, Uli will teach us how to think about our yards and gardens as part of the New England ecosystem, exploring how using true native plants in our private gardens makes plants more resilient to environmental challenges and strengthens wildlife habitats.

Offering highlights from his newly released book, “The Northeast Native Plant Primer: 235 Plants for an Earth-Friendly Garden,” Uli makes adding these plants to our outdoor spaces easier than ever before.  He offers practical advice from how to attract essential pollinators like bees, butterflies and native birds to how to select native trees, shrubs, vines, grasses and annuals that deliver a healthy, biologically diverse landscape. It’s everything you need to know to create an alluring and eco-friendly garden!

This is an in-person event for Harvard Conservation Trust members only. Please register using the link below.  Not a member yet and want to attend?  Visit harvardconservationtrust.org/join.
